Nieuwe monitor

Ik heb net een nieuwe monitor geplaatst (samsung 226BW), uiteindelijk gelukt.
Alleen nu werkt mplayer niet meer. Als ik een film start crashed die gelijk.
Dit was niet zo.
Ik heb wel xorg.conf opnieuw geconfigureerd, misschien dat dit er mee te maken heeft.

Iemand een idee hoe ik mplayer weer aan de praat krijg?

ff zoeken naar de juiste instellingen xorg.conf maar ik heb nu fantastisch beeld. Alleen m'n movie players crashen direct, maar ik denk dat dat uiteindelijk niet met mijn monitor te maken heeft.
22'' is wel heeeel groot.

De grootte van je monitor heeft niets te maken met het crashen van mplayer of andere programma's.
Ik denk dat er een verkeerde driver is ingesteld in xorg.conf.

Wat voor videokaart heb je?
Wat staat er in /etc/X11/xorg.conf?

Ik had een nvidia FX 5700 LE maar die heeft het pas begeven, dus ik heb er zolang een oud kaartje ingezet 0000:01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV17 [GeForce4 MX 440 maar die moet het prima doen met de nv driver. (3d werkt er niet op daarom had ik die fx5700le gekocht).
Ik kan me niet herinneren of ik met die MX440 met mijn oude monitor mplayer heb gebruikt?
Maar alles werkt momenteel goed (muv 3d). Dus ik zou het fijn vinden als ik Mplayer ook weer aan de praat krijg. Hieronder  mijn xorg.conf file.

Heb je in synaptic het pakket nvidia-glx geïnstalleerd?
Probeer die anders eens opnieuw te installeren.

Verander daarna dit:

Ze hebben namelijk in Feisty de nvidia drivers vernieuwd, zodat het met jouw kaart ook werkt.

ben benieuwd naar mijn scherm

heb hem vorige week besteld maar kreeg mailtje dat t uitverkocht is en blabla
zit hier nu met een 2 kleuren beeldscherm..
alleen blauw en oranje doen het.. en zwart wit ook wel maar dat zijn geen kleuren toch

Heb ik geprobeerd maar dan loopt die vast kom net niet in mijn inlogscherm, kan wel de muis over het scherm bewegen maar toestenbord reageert die niet op. Maar dit kan goed aan mijn kaart liggen want een tijd geleden had ik hiervoor die nieuwe kaart (FX5700Le die het net heeft begeven) aangeschaft. Daarom heb ik deze terug gestop voor de time being. Maar Mplayer moet het toch ook in 2d doen?

Ik heb net weer mijn 15" monitor terug aangehangen, en mijn oude xorg.conf weer terug gezet.
Waarschijnlijk vreemd maar Mplayer doet het nu weer wel speelt alles gewoon weer af. Ik heb de uitvoer van mplayer gestart in een terminal.
Mijn vraag is waar kan het aan liggen dat mplayer op een 22" scherm crashed en op mijn 15" scherm gewoon doet. Ik zal ook mijn huidige xorg.conf mee posten. Ben wel benieuwd, die 22" heb ik voor een ander gekocht, maar ben zelf ook van plan 1 aan te schaffen, dan wil ik wel weten of mijn movie players aan de praat zijn te krijgen.
