niks ivm Linux backup)
Anyway toch gekocht (weer een WD harddisk 250 gig)
die blijkt nu FAT32 geformatteerd :
Schijf /dev/sda: 250.0 GB, 250059350016 bytes
255 koppen, 63 sectoren/spoor, 30401 cylinders
Eenheden = cylinders van 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Apparaat Boot Start Einde Blokken Id Systeem
/dev/sda1 1 30401 244196001 c W95 FAT32 (LBA)

I wouldn't recommend it for normal filesystem use, but for a USB drive, it
is the best way to go. If you use ext3, you'll not be able to use it on
other systems.
I work on hundreds of different servers per month. The ability to carry
around firmware and driver updates, along with diagnostic tools, on a
single USB drive is highly helpful.
And even at home, I have a Win2k3 server, a Redhat 4 server, a few WinXP
boxes, and my Ubuntu machines. The network is useful for most things, but
having that portability of data on the removable drive is very desirable.
