Wat is het beste protocol om tussen 2 unix machines te communiceren?

Op het moment gebruik ik voor het delen van bestanden in het thuisnetwerk SAMBA. Ik deel alleen tussen Unix-machines. Daarom denk ik dat ik niet perse samba hoef te gebruiken.
Is er een beter protocol dat alleen gericht is op unix machines?

Je leert maar mooi over weg gaan met de commandline.

Nfs.
Maar er is niets mis met Samba, ik geef daar normaal gesproken de voorkeur aan. Een andere mogelijkheid is via ssh of ftp.
