Kun je de uitkomst posten van het terminal commando lsusb met de adapter ingeplugd?
En kun je zonder de adpater ingeplugd te hebben tail -f /var/log/syslog uitvoeren in een terminal, dan de adapter insteken en de data die voorbij komt hier posten?

Deze gegevens komen op na de opdrachten. De sitecom wirelesws adapter werkt nu wel, doch hij verliest na enige tijd internetten. Dit ondanks een goed signaal.

Welke versie an Ubuntu gebruik je.
Heb hier thuis ook een Sitecom wireless USB stick.
Ik had toen nog 10.04 en die herkende hem niet, maar onder 11.10 werkte het perfect.
Ik heb hem nu niet nodig maar als ik thuis ben zou ik kunnen kijken of het onder 12.04 ook nog gewoon werkt.

Bedankt voor de info! Na hoe lang houdt de adapter er mee op? Ik heb hetzelfde probleem met een vergelijkbaar WiFi dongeltje. Heb een vermoeden dat dat komt omdat het dongeltje simpelweg te heet wordt.

Wat is de output van iwconfig in een terminal ?

Power management zou aan kunnen staan.
