ik vind Cairo-dock helemaal geweldig.. functioneel, uiterlijk enz Unity vind je niet geweldig, misschien is dit een optie:

The latest version of Cairo-Dock was released (2.4). This new version comes with a new option that allows Ubuntu users to log on to Cairo Dock in the login screen so as to get rid of the Unity interface. Here are some of the new features for this latest release:

Better integration in XFCE desktop environments
More new DBus methods for better and easier interaction with the dock
Dock is now compatible with a Compiz-standalone environment
New "Impulse" applet that allows to add dance effect to your dock

To install Cairo Dock on Ubuntu 11.04/11.10, open the terminal and run these commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:cairo-dock-team
sudo apt-get update
sudo aptitude install cairo-dock cairo-dock-plug-ins
