ubuntu en xubuntu 11.04 flash en moonlight

Ik heb gisteren ubuntu en xubuntu 11.04 getest op mijn dell optiplex 270 1024mb ram. ik was direct enthousiast over beide distro`s, maar helaas weer het zelfde probleem met flash in fullscreen. het blijft stotteren en wazig, wel mooi dat nu eindelijk moonlight werkt op uitzending gemist, maar dan ook alleen in klein scherm. fullscreen blijft hij weer hangen.
Ik heb bij beide de hardware versnelling al uit gezet. Ik had gehoopt dat dit verholpen zou worden, in 11.04 denk dat ik nu toch oude Dell computer moet gaan vervangen voor één met meer video geheugen, silverlight en flash loopt trouwens met XP als een zonnetje en haarscherp.

Weke grafische kaart heb je? En zijn de juiste drivers geinstalleerd?
Open een terminal en type lspci (eerste letter is een kleine L) en geef een ENTER, kan je de uitkomst hier plaatsen?

64-bit Ubuntu of 32-bit Ubuntu? Adobe Flash Player werkt alleen optimaal in 32-bit Ubuntu.

Het licht er aan hoe je videokaart word ondersteund en of je de laatste drivers er voor hebt.
Anders klassiek starten zonder effecten en waarschijnlijk loopt alles dan wel goed met flash.

Bij mij niet, althans op 64-bit openSUSE 11.4.... Vaak stotteren en hangen. Ondanks dat de visuele effecten (Compiz) staan uitgeschakeld.

Op 32-bit geen enkel probleem. Zou het dan aan Suus liggen? Ik zal eens kijken hoe het gaat in 64-bit Ubuntu.

@Robert Jansen: Silverlight / Moonlight is sowieso een ramp. Ik installeer Moonlight al niet eens meer.... Gelukkig kun je bij uitzending gemist (publieke omroep) nog klikken op Instellingen en dan Flash kiezen.

Zo te lezen in de openingspost zou Moonlight het dus moeten doen, maar bij mij begint de tijd wel te lopen, maar blijft het scherm zwart en komt er geen geluid. Het lopen van de tijd is dus het enige dat het wél doet

Bij mij blijft wel eens dat oranje driehoekje van de NOS of zo in beeld tijdens het afspelen.

Dank je wel Gijsbert voor je hulp, Ik kan wel de goede resolutie instellen, is er geen manier om de 3d versnelling uit te schakelen b.v via de terminal ? Met Ubuntu 10.10 was mijn beeld perfect.

Ik heb de website bekeken maar weet niet precies wat ik nodig heb.ik heb de zoek functie gebruikt maar zie nog geen updates voor natty.
Ik wacht nog een tijdje de update`s van Ubuntu af. is lubuntu een alternatief voor mij of is dit systeem teveel gestript om tot een lightversie te komen?

Onder het kopje Adding this PPA to your system staat in het blauw (Read about installing) als er op klikt krijg je een uitgebreide beschrijving hoe je de bron (PPA) toe kan voegen. Is dit eenmaal gedaan dan kan je via Synaptic, het software centrum of de terminal installeren.
Voordeel zijn er weer updates wordt dit weer gemeld in de Update manager.

If you're using the most recent version of Ubuntu (or any version from Ubuntu 9.10 onwards), you can add a PPA to your system with a single line in your terminal.

Step 1: On the PPA's overview page, look for the heading that reads Adding this PPA to your system. Make a note of the PPA's location, which looks like:

ppa:gwibber-daily/ppa

Step 2: Open a terminal and enter:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:user/ppa-name

Replace ppa:user/ppa-name with the PPA's location that you noted above.

Your system will now fetch the PPA's key. This enables your Ubuntu system to verify that the packages in the PPA have not been interfered with since they were built.

sudo apt-get update

Now you're ready to start installing software from the PPA!

Step 2: Use the Display sources.list entries drop-down box to select the version of Ubuntu you're using.

Copy those lines.

Save the file and exit the text editor.

Step 5: Back on the PPA's overview page, look for the Signing key heading. You'll see something like:

1024R/72D340A3 (What is this?)

Copy the portion after the slash but not including the help link; e.g. just 72D340A3.

Step 6: Now you need to add that key to your system so Ubuntu can verify the packages from the PPA. In your terminal, enter:

sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys 72D340A3

Replace 72D340A3 with whatever you copied in the step 5.

This will now pull down the PPA's key and add it to your system.

Step 7: Now, as a one-off, you should tell your system to pull down the latest list of software from each archive it knows about, including the PPA you just added:

sudo apt-get update

Erg bedankt weer voor de uitleg, bij thuiskomst vandaag de Ubuntu opgestart en wat zag ik tot mijn grote vreugde? een update voor mijn intel chipset ! 8) na de installatie en reboot werk alles weer goed, geen rare strepen meer op mijn display en flash video loopt nu ook full screen  goed, moonlight nog niet sinds de firefox 4.01 update, gebruik hier nog even Windows XP voor.Ik neem aan dat ik nu niets meer moet uitvoeren van het PPA verhaal? Heb het wel bewaard  voor de toekomst. bedankt en tot kijk !

Bij uitzending gemist gewoon bij instellingen voor flash kiezen.
Dan kun je alles in Linux kijken op RTL gemist na maarja daar mis je niets aan. XD
