reserve sectoren harde schijf

Overal lees je dat de inhoud van slechte sectoren worden overgeschreven naar de reserve sectoren.
Vraag hoeveel reserve sectoren heeft een harde schijf ? 100 200 500 of 50?
Kan bij een schijfcontrole door ubuntu de boel vastlopen als  ie bad sectors tegenkomt?
Alles komt goed, je weet echter nooit wanneer..

Ik zou direct de schijf back-uppen, al heb je voldoende reserve sectoren, binnen afzienbare tijd zal je schijf de geest geven. Maar aan jou de keuze.

bad sectors betekent bijna altijd dat je harde schijf aan het overlijden is.

Dat begrijp ik. Heb al eens 3 achter elkaar moeten vervangen.Die waren 6 ,7 jaar oud. Maar de vraag blijft onbeantwoord. Hoeveel heb je en is het per schijf verschillend enz. Ik kan mij voorstellen dat je met 1 of 2 bad sectors je schijf niet gaat vervangen. Ik hoop dat ik duidelijk ben geweest.
Alles komt goed, je weet echter nooit wanneer..

Zodra er op een gegeven moment 1 of 2 bad sectors verschijnen komen er meestal al snel veel meer bij.
Bovendien kan je met 1 bad sector al dataverlies lijden als het bestand wat op die sector staat beschadigt raakt.

Backuppen en vervangen dus. Na 6 of 7 jaar is het vrij normaal dat een schijf aan het eind van zijn leven raakt.

Hoeveel reserve sectoren er zijn? Geen idee. Een schijf van 40 GB zal er minder hebben dan een van 2TB.
En een schijf van merk A heeft er meer dan van Merk B.
