Hi,

Ik heb Ubuntu 6.06 nu 4 maanden draaien en dat bevalt goed!

Even een intro: Vanwege een probleem met de SataII driver voor mijn moederbord kan ik ubuntu 6.06 niet direct op die schijf installeren (vanad 6.10 moet dat wel lukken), en mijn oplossing was: IDE schijf erin als OS disk en de SataII schijf ernaast als datadisk (want dan wordt de schijf wel herkend). Het probleem: de sataII schijf mount 'ineens' niet meer. Wanneer ik naar System Settings -> Schijven en Bestandssystemen ga dan staat ie daar nog steeds tussen, maar gedeactiveerd:

/media/data      /media/data      xfs     /dev/sda1      Deactivated

Activeren lukt ook niet, krijg dan de volgende error:

Er deed zich een fout voor tijdens het activeren van /media/data.
Het systeem rapporteerde:mount: special device /dev/sda1 does not exist

en bij details:
De teruggeven code van mount was 32.
"aankoppelfout"

Ik heb zelf niets aangepast in de instellingen, mappen of wat dan ook dus ik heb zelf het vermoeden dat het komt door een automatische update (maar dat kan het net zo goed niet zijn, ben ook maar een linux n00b :)). Maargoed, kan nu iig niet meer bij al mijn data wat wel redelijk vervelend is. Als iemand suggesties heeft over hoe ik achter het probleem kan komen en/of hoe ik dit kan oplossen: graag!

Als gewoon de benaming veranderd is zou je dat snel moeten kunnen terugvinden en aanpassen :). Kijk eens bij:
sudo fdisk -l
of je daar je harde schijf kan terugvinden? Zoja, gebruik
gksudo gedit /etc/fstab
om daar /dev/sda1 aan te passen naar de nieuwe benaming.

Twijfel: posten! ;)

Wat ook kan is dat er in je bios iets veranderd is. Zo had ik bij mij pa ooit eens geconstateerd dat de bios zich ineens had gerest, vond de bios denk ik leuk :), en daardoor was hij de SataI indeling ineens kwijt. Bleek dat de bios naar de default instellingen was gezet waarbij de sata poorten standaard uit staan... misschien bij jou hetzelfde?

Schijf is zo'n 3 maanden oud en maakt - net als toen het werkte - nog steeds geen hoorbaar geluid...

Nou, schiet mij maar lek. Wat zitten putsen in BIOS, werkte allemaal niet dus weer terug gezet. Alle kabeltjes maar gecontroleerd, zat allemaal strak vast. Ik start op en... ik heb er een HDD bij... :S

Klinkt als een kabel die er niet helemaal lekker in zat, of een power kabel die niet helemaal lekker zit/zat...

Ik blijf hier problemen mee hebben. Ik heb inmiddels ubuntu 6.10 en de schijf blijft kuren vertonen. Als ik in de bios kijk staat de schijf er altijd gewoon bij, aan de kabeltjes lijkt het mij dus niet te kunnen liggen. Iemand suggesties over wat ik nog meer zou kunnen proberen?

Ik krijg nu in 6.10 een andere foutmelding: mount: /dev/sda1: kan superblok niet lezen. Echter is dit nog steeds foutcode 32 dus het zal wel dezelfde error zijn...

Edit:
Ik heb vanalles geprobeerd, aansluiten op SataI controller (ipv SataII), Sata op IDE modus gezet, alle bios instellingen gereset... Niets helpt. Lijkt er bijna op alsof de HDD overleden is, maar hoe kan het dan dat ik 'm nog wel zie verschijnen in het BIOS? lijkt me dat ie daar ook niet komt te staan dan... Ik hoor 'm ook gewoon gaan draaien zodra ik opstart en als ik de ubuntu live CD start is de SataII schijf gewoon

Het gaat hier om mijn 2e HDD, ubuntu staat op de 1e en ik kan dus ook ubuntu opstarten van de 1e HDD en dat commando uitvoeren.

Dit is dan de output, hopelijk kan iemand er wat mee...

Het gedeelte dat over scsi/Sata gaat en dus waarschijnlijk over de betreffende schijf heb ik rood gemaakt.

Daaronder staat ook nog een hele rits met hdd: command error: Wellicht dat die er ook iets mee te maken hebben... De belangrijkste regel die ik uit bovenstaande verhaal haal is: [17179613.620000] XFS: dirty log written in incompatible format - can't recover. Wat ik er echter aan kan doen weet ik dus niet. Iemand suggesties?

Probleem opgelost door het commando sudo xfs_repair -L /dev/sda1 uit te voeren. Toch bedankt voor het meedenken!

Niks kwijt geraakt? Overigens, uit nieuwsgierigheid is XFS je filesysteem op die schijf? is dat anders dan ext3 en hoe kwam je daar zo bij? Of
