ATI 3d driver

" Using XFree86-VidModeExtension Version 2.2
XF86DGA Mouse (Version 2.0) initialized
XFree86-VidModeExtension Activated at 800x600
Using 8/8/8 Color bits, 24 depth, 0 stencil display.

p:~$ glxinfo | grep direct
direct rendering: No
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect

Section "Device"
Identifier    "ATI Technologies, Inc. Radeon Mobility M6 LY [Radeon Mobility 9000]"
    Driver        "ati"
    BusID        "PCI:1:0:0"
    Option        "UseFBDev"        "true"
EndSection

http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Ubuntu_Dapper_Installation_Guide
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RadeonDriver

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/ATI

Da's de "officiele" how-to.

rudy@rudy-laptop:~$ glxinfo | grep direct
direct rendering: No
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect

more /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep "(EE)"

dmesg | grep fglrx

rudy@rudy-laptop:~$ more /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep "(EE)"
(WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown.
(EE) xf86OpenSerial: Cannot open device /dev/wacom
(EE) xf86OpenSerial: Cannot open device /dev/wacom
(EE) xf86OpenSerial: Cannot open device /dev/wacom
(EE) xf86OpenSerial: Cannot open device /dev/wacom
(EE) xf86OpenSerial: Cannot open device /dev/wacom
(EE) xf86OpenSerial: Cannot open device /dev/wacom

more /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep "(EE)"

>>en<<

dmesg | grep fglrx

more /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep "(EE)" >/home/rudy/error1.txt

dmesg | grep fglrx >/home/rudy/error2.txt

en dan de inhoud van error1 en error2 eens posten

Hallo,

Ik heb beide dingen gedaan:

Error1.txt
(WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown.
(EE) No devices detected.

Errot2.txt
is leeg

Groet

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install linux-restricted-modules-$(uname -r) #Okay if it is already installed
sudo apt-get install xorg-driver-fglrx
sudo depmod -a
sudo aticonfig --initial
sudo aticonfig --overlay-type=Xv

# /etc/X11/xorg.conf (xorg X Window System server configuration file)
#
# This file was generated by dexconf, the Debian X Configuration tool, using
# values from the debconf database.
#
# Edit this file with caution, and see the /etc/X11/xorg.conf manual page.

sudo apt-get install xorg-driver-fglrx=7.0.0-8.25.18+2.6.15.11-5
(nieuwste driver voor dapper in dapper-security)

**

This package provides 2D display drivers and hardware accelerated OpenGL for X.Org 7.0.0.

Er wordt over 2D gesproken , maar niet over 3D ?
OpenGL = 3D
