Soms worden er updates voorgesteld die niet geverifieerd kunnen worden, althans dat beweert de update manager. Van wie zouden deze updates afkomstig kunnen zijn en waarom kunnen ze niet geverifieerd worden? Wie maakt überhaupt uit of een update veilig is of niet?

Als je een extra repository aan je pakketbronnen hebt toegevoegd, en je hebt voor deze geen controlesleutel toegevoegd, dan markeert Synaptic deze als ongeverifieerd.

De enige repositories die ik heb zijn die van Canonical (archive.canonical.com) en die van Medibuntu (packages.medibuntu.com). Dus geen onbekende bronnen. Waar komt dan toch het onvermogen tot verificatie vandaan?

Druk eens alt+f2 en typ daar:
gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

En kopieer/plak de inhoud van dat bestandje eens hier.

Heer Rooze, volgens software van derden zat het er wel in. Ik heb toen die regel verwijderd, softwarebronnen laten herladen en uw regel toegevoegd. Het resultaat is deze lijst. Zit het er nu wel bij?

Ik heb maar 1 acpi pakketje binnengekregen. Misschien zal het met die andere te maken hebben.

Herman: ga eens naar Synaptic (systeem=>beheer) en druk linksboven op Bestand en dan Geschiedenis. Kijk eens bij de datum van vandaag welke pakketjes het zijn.

Gek, ik heb net dezelfde updates binnengehaald, en deze komen allen uit de gewone Ubuntu bronnen.

Ga eens naar Systeem=>beheer=>softwarebronnen, tabblad "Authenticatie". Staat daar de sleutel van "Ubuntu Archive Automatic Signing Key"? Zoniet, klik eens rechtsonder op "Standaardinstellingen herstellen".
