Ik wil voor verschillende doeleinden Windows en React OS etc. in een virtuele omgeving draaien. Hoe werkt en wat is de beste (lees eenvoudigste) virtual machine?
Ik heb er werkelijk geen idee van hoe dit werkt. Ik heb verschillende dingen uitgeprobeerd met VMware en Qemu, maar nooit iets aan de praat gekregen!
Kan en wil iemand mij verder helpen?

persoonlijk vind ik virtualbox prettig werken. zit in synaptic ( open source ) en je kan een binary downloaden ( deb file ) of de repo ervoor toevoegen aan synaptic

Bij het gebruik van Virtualbox staat de USB poort niet aan. Nu staat er op hun site een opdrachtregel om dit te verhelpen;
Linux hosts ¶
* USB on Ubuntu/Gutsy: Ubuntu removed support for /proc/bus/usb/*. We will address this issue in the future. Until this, edit the script `/etc/init.d/mountdevsubfs.sh and activate the four lines around line 40 (Magic to make /proc/bus/usb work). Then execute
/etc/init.d/mountdevsubfs.sh start
From now on, there should be a directory /proc/bus/usb/ and the device entries below should be accessible by any user.
Maar de opdrachtregel of de uitleg omtrent "the four lines around line 40" snap ik niet en ik weet dus niet wat ik hiermee aanmoet.
