Ik blijf maar problemen houden met mijn iPod. Toen ik nog windows op mijn laptop had staan toen wist ik altijd wat ik moest doen met mijn iPod als ik iets wilde berijken. Nu heb ik Ubuntu met Amarok er op en snap er niets meer van. alles wat ik doe klopt niet. Bijvoorbeeld:
Ik had een probleem met het overzetten van mijn nummers die op mijn iPod stonden. Ik had met windows er op gezet en wou zo de nummers die ik wou ook op linux zetten. Eerst zelf doen. Resultaat: mislukt. bericht op dit forum gezet. resultaat:mislukt. En nu ben ik mijn nummers kwijt. Jammer.

Nu weet ik nog steeds niet hoe ik mijn nummers op die iPod krijg. Ik had geluk want ik had ook nog wat CD`s met die nummers er op die ik wou. Geript dus. Resultaat: Ik kan mijn nummers wel op Amarok beluisteren maar niet op mijn iPod zetten. Ik weet niet meer wat ik moet doen. Weet iemand een heel makkelijke handleiding zodat ik met gemakkelijke stappen mijn iPod die ooit met windows geconfigureerd was naar linux over te zetten? Of is dat mogelijk om met berichten via dit forum te doen?

Het programma Songbird zou goed moeten werken met een iPod (zie andere post over dit programma). Ik heb inmiddels Songbrid geinstalleerd. Werkt goed, maar heb geen iPod.

Uit eigen ervaring weet ik dat onder Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy) de uitwisseling met de standaardspeler in het menu audio "Rhythmbox" prima werkt.

Heb je gtkpod al geprobeerd? Als je in windows ooit muziek erop hebt gezet, heb dus ook al een bestandstructuur aangemaakt. Gtkpod zou dit moeten herkennen, mits je uiteraard gtkpod hebt geinstalleerd ;). Hopelijk lukt dit voor je!

Niets lukt. Ik ben wel ergens achter gekomen en weet niet of dit hoort.
Als ik mijn iPod aan zet en dan naar instellingen > info ga. Dan zie ik dat er dit staat:
Structuur: Windows.
Moet daar geen Linux of Ubuntu staan?

Ik heb gisteravond nog even zitten proberen en nu lukte het wel met rythmbox maar niet met Amarok en gtkpod. Ik  vind amarok wel het handigst om mee te werken. Dus het liefst zou ik mijn muziek willen overdragen via Amarok.
In ieder geval bedankt voor deze hulp want er is nu toch wel een mogelijkheid om mijn muziek op een iPod te zetten via ubuntu.

Het is me gelukt om er muziek op te zetten met Rhythmbox, dat programma vind ik sowieso fijn om mee te werken.
Ik kon echter geen muziek van mijn ipod op mijn computer krijgen, dus heb ik gtkpod geinstalleerd, daar lukt het wel mee, maar ik vind het programma een beetje onhandig zo kan ik niet fijn door mijn muziek op mijn externe harde schijf bladeren.

Ik ben er alleen achter gekomen dat wanneer ik de muziek met Rhytymbox verwijder, dat het dan wel lijkt alsof het weg is (ook op mijn ipod) maar dat de ruimte niet echt vrijgekomen is. Er is dus wel minder beschikbare ruimte op mijn ipod, maar ik kan de nummers niet meer zien (laat staan beluisteren)

Tsja Ipod is een mooi product van Mac.....net zoals de meeste producten van Mac.....mooi en goed bedacht zijn....en zeker in combinatie met de Mac werken ze geweldig!! Maar waar Mac roept dat Windows zo allerbelabberst werkt en monopolistisch is, zijn ze zelf geen haar beter....en eigenlijk nog erger: want voor de goed werkende software moet je wel de veels te dure hardware van ze kopen!! Als Jobs niet zo'n geweldig goede demagoog was zou er niemand ooit meer iets van de Mac vernomen hebben!!.......Eerlijk gezegd de Mac is een closed source Unix-bak.............het verschil met Linux zit hem misschien wel vooral in de (meestal) werkende voorgekookte oplossingen en de hogere installatievriendelijkheid....voor wie het geld er voor over heeft......en geen uitdaging in linux ziet.............bijna perfect.........;-)!!

Volgens mij moet je om iets definitief van je ipod te verwijderen, je prullenbak nog even legen. grt, sierk

[ Ipod wordt niet herkend bij aansluiten.
 Ik ben volledig    overgeschakeld op Ubuntu Gutsy(dev/sda1  :200GB) tot mij grote tevredenheid met een zelfgemaakte CD van het Isobestand(en dat als senior met weinig computer verstand).Het is een verademing Windows Kwijt te zijn ware het niet dat Ubuntu mijn iPod(160GBmet instelling :FAT 32, gebruik als schijf activeren,iTunes niet aansluiten )volledig negeert..Ik heb er alles op nagelezen in het forum en de documentatie maar het lukt niet .Gisteren    met het command 'dmesg' kreegjg ik net nadat ik de ipod via een usb2 poort heb aangesloten het volgende/Ik Verstond er niets van en besloot om hulp te roepen.

Met mijn dank voor de snelle reactie.Mijn ipod 160GB wordt inderdaad door verscheidene apparaten erkend nadat ik hem op windows herladen heb met een 10tal songs. Het blijkt dat de grootte van mijn ipod voorlopig nog de oorzaak is dat ik mijn ipod wel kan lezen en spelen via Rhythmbox, Banshee en gtkpod maar niet bewerken omdat zij deze nieuwe generatie nog niet hebben voorzien.ik hoop dat ik hierop niet te lang moet wachten.Tot wederhoren

Ik wist niet dat ze ipods met 160 gb hadden, heb er 1 met 30 gb, zou wel meer willen hebben ;)
