ati x800xl drivers geinstaleerd, niet in gebruik

ik heb de drivers geinstaleerd via beperkt ondersteunende stuurprogrammas, maar ik kan hem niet in gebruik krijgen, hij is wel geactiveerd.

ik hoop dat iemand me kan helpen hier.

Kan je iets specefieker zijn? 'kan hem niet gebruiken'...
gaat hem om de fglrx drivers?
en wat werkt niet? start de xserver niet (het grafische deel) niet?
werkt een bepaald programma / spel / compiz niet ofzo?
zou je misschien kunnen zeggen wat 'fglrxinfo' en/of 'glxinfo' geven als je dat in het terminalvenster typt? (applicaties -> hulpmiddelen -> terminalvenster)

ik kan mijn resolutie niet hoger zetten dan 800 bij 600, en in windows kan ik gewoon de resolutie op 1600 bij 1200 zetten.
