Xorg vragen

Hoi,

(voor diegene die denken dat ik wel erg veel vraag over Xorg, ik heb meerdere systemen staan om er wat van te leren :-) )

De pc waar het me nu omgaat is mijn fileserver en draait voornamelijk zonder X-server. De xserver is dan ook later geinstalleerd met (dacht ik)

apt-get install xserver-xorgDaarna ingesteld met dpkg-reconfigure

Toch een aantal vragen.

Bij het afsluiten van mijn desktop krijg ik maar 1 optie: end session. Dus geen afsluiten, herstarten etc. Hoe kan dit?

Ook staan er wat fouten in het logbestand van Xserver(let op is een hele lap). Mijn vraag is hoe dit kan? ik heb de gewone procedure gevolgd, ben ik wat vergeten?

Ik heb het document enigszins ingekort.

Hij probeert veel moda, waarom? en waar komen die foutmeldingen vandaan?

Op je eerste vraag, normaal moet gdm voor gnome en kdm voor kde draaien om die opties te hebben van afsluiten etc. Draai je zoiets?

Voor de tweede vraag bij een standaard installatie zie je ook error in het log bestand.  De belangrijkste stelling is als ze niets kwaad doen moet je er ook niets aan doen.

Dat is een goede, nee, ik heb geen kdm draaien. Mis ik daar dan echt iets aan? (behalve deze opties?).

Tja en die foutmeldingen.. die zijn er toch niet voor niets? of kan ik ze gewoon negeren?

Om die shutdown te laten werken moet er gewoon een display manager draaien als gdm en kdm.

Foutmeldingen if it works.. (op zich klaagt hij alleen dat hij een paar font mappen niet kan vinden die wel aangegeven staan in je xorg conf.)

xresprobe installeer deze en vul de monitor specificaties in.(dus eerst opzoeken)

Dan  sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
