Beryl plugin installeren

Ik probeer die snowflakes plugin voor Beryl te installeren, maar het wil niet helemaal lukken.

Ahhh, die beryl-dev was inderdaad nog niet geïnstalleerd...

Maar nu krijg ik dit:

Tja, sorry, ik ben geen expert
De website van de plugin vermeldt echter ook dat je "Beryl from svn" nodig hebt. Dit wil zeggen dat je Beryl uit de SVN repository moet halen, compileren en installeren.

Het zou kunnen zijn dat er ook een ice plugin bestaat oid die je ook nodig hebt.

ik lees nu net hier en daar op het net dat beryl stopt met uitbrengen van software.
en dat de makers van beryl nu gaan samenwerken met Compiz (Fusion)

maar wat is het verschil tussen (nu nog) Beryl en Compiz Fusion?
is het nu voor mij aangeraden om nu direkt over te schakelen naar Compiz of ?

wat kan Compiz nu meer dan Beryl ?

Er zijn naar mijn weten een paar nieuwe plugins beschikbaar gekomen voor compiz fusion. Ik ben voorlopig nog blij met mijn getweakte beryl. Vanaf gutst ga ik denk ik wel fusion gebruiken, maar heb nu geen zin om alles opnieuw in te stellen

De snow plugin zit in de berylversie die je uit de standaard repository's kan halen.
De lijn voor de standaard beryl repo:
deb http://ubuntu.beryl-project.org/ feisty main

Je moet zorgen dat je de pakketten beryl-plugins en beryl-plugins-unsupported geïnstalleerd hebt.

Thnx, het werkt nu! Het valt me trouwens op dat wanneer ik m'n kubus ronddraai de sneeuwvlokken blokken worden. Hoort dit zo?

Zie het al, als ik snow over windows doe, dan blijf ik gewoon vlokken zien.
