How to record the waveout in Ubuntu?

I have a SB Audigy 2 card. In Winodws I can record the "wave" output. This way I can record internet radio and audio from movies.

Under Ubuntu 8.04 this doesn't work. I've switched all the input and output channels on in the sals mixer for the audigy 2 card. In Audacity the input meters won't notice any audio.

Any ideas?
