http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Ubuntu_Hardy_Installation_GuideOf als het niet werkt:
Install envy,( to install drivers, but also to remove the drivers, in textmode.)
(if everything fails, you can start up in safe mode remove drivers an boot again.
If screensize is not good, then boot again in safe mode and use 3e line to search for video and monitor settings, hardware).
Read this
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/201330.
open source install,(or try a differnt one)(or envy)
Here you have to try differnt versions of drivers.
Put this "SKIP_CHECKS=yes"in the file, etc/xdg/compiz/compiz-manager
or ./config/compiz/compiz-manager (is hidden file, is verborgen file)
This is for laptops:
In file usr/bin/compiz
search laptop detect portion
change "return 1" to "return 0"
Do this before you reboot, then if compiz freezes, you can boot without compiz.
http://www.ubuntu1501.com/ , search for "Stop Compiz-Fusion From Loading Automatically".
Make icon with: compiz --replace
This starts compiz with the icon, if it crashes, boot again without compiz.
Compiz will now not start automatically, so you can boot with drivers.
If you start compiz with icon, anf it crashes/hangs you can boot again.
Hope this works!!!!!
