Ubuntu 12.04 LTS - launcher en unity kwijt na installatie Dropbox

Nadat ik Dropbox heb geïnstalleerd ben ik zowel de Launcher, Unity als de informatie aan de bovenzijde kwijt.  En niet alleen voor mijn eigen account, maar ook van het andere account dat op de computer staat.

Al op meerdere manieren via Terminal getracht Dropbox te verwijderen en Unity en Launcher opnieuw te installeren. Tot nu toe geen succes.

Iemand hier een oplossing voor?

Kan je wat meer informatie geven? Hoe heb je dropbox geïnstalleerd, heb je een link naar de stappen die je hebt gevolgd?

Ik heb eerst Dropbox via Softwarecentrum geïnstalleerd. Kreeg toen de mededeling dat ik Nautilus opnieuw moest starten. Dropbox opgestart. Dropbox gaf aan dat er iets mis was met de locatie.

En deze installatie via Terminal geïnstalleerd. De Dropbox die ik via Softwarecentrum had geïnstalleerd weer verwijderd.

Opnieuw opgestart en launcher en unity waren weg. Alleen het inlogscherm van Dropbox popte op.

Hmm, vreemd dat je twee versies van dropbox geinstalleerd kon hebben. Ik zou om te beginnen maar dropbox verwijderen.

1) Ga naar een terminallogin met ctrl + alt +f1. Log in met je naam + wachtwoord, als je je wachtwoord invult zie je geen sterretjes.
2) voer het volgende commando uit om dropbox volledig te verwijderen, ook hier zie je geen sterretjes bij je wachtwoord: sudo apt-get purge dropbox
3) start de computer opnieuw op met het volgende commando: sudo reboot now

1 Als  ik crl alt f1  doe krijg ik hub 1-3:1.0 unable to enumerate USB device on port 2. Dit gaat continu door. Inloggen kan ik niet.

Opnieuw opgestart

2. Met Crl alt t  een terminal venster opgestart en Dropbox verwijderd zoals je hebt aangegeven en opnieuw opgestart. Echter geen resultaat.

Geef eens het commando

unity --reset

in de terminal. Dat zou moeten helpen
