compiz wil niet meer starten

hey

ik heb gister de avand window manager geinstalleerd op mijn ubuntu pc, maar toen ik mijn pc vanochtend aan deed, waren al mijn compiz effecten weg... en als ik compiz manager via systeem>voorkeuren>compizConfig Setting Manneger
wil opstarten, gebeurd er niets

en de voorkeuren van de window manager komen ook niet tevoorschijn als ik er op klik...

weet iemand hoe ik compiz weer kan laten werken?

en ik kom er ook net achter dat ik niet meer kan minimaliseren...wat doe ik fout?

Volgens mij gaan AWM en Compiz niet goed samen. Ik kan het mishebben natuurlijk, maar om Compiz aan het werk te krijgen moet je Avant Windows Manager erafgooien.

en hoe kan ik awm verwijderen? ik vind hem niet tussen de instaleren/verwijderen.

AWM is afhankelijk van Compiz, dus die twee moeten samen gaan (heb ze zelf ook samen draaien)

Wat ooit het probleem is, is dat sommige versies niet niet met elkaar overweg kunnen.

Vetel eens hoe je compiz (als die niet standaard aan stond) en AWN geinstalleerd hebt

post hier ook eens de output als je compiz --replace in de terminal intypt

compiz heb ik standaard aan staan, en ik heb AWM zo geinstalleerd:

 Gutsy Gibbon (7.10)

Version 0.2.1 is available in the gutsy-backports repository. To enable this repository, go to "Software Sources" in the Administration menu, "Updates" tab and check "Unsupported updates (gutsy-backports)". Then, it can be installed via Synaptic or Adept, or by simply running the following in the terminal:

en dat ging helemaal pervect. daarna heb ik AWM toegevoegd aan de sessie (zodat awm opstart bij het opstarten van m'n pc) en na het opnieuw opstarten van mijn pc waren al mijn compiz efecten weg, en had ik weer 2 werkvensters...

dit krijg ik in terminal:

Welke grafische kaart heb je eigenlijk?

dat zou ik zo niet weten, weet wel wat voor pc ik heb:

Fujitsu siemens scaleo 600 (niet meer de nieuwste )
misschien heb je daar wat aan....

Ah blijkbaar eentje met een nvidia kaartje
systeem > beheer > beperkte stuurprogramma's .
En kijk eens of nvidia nog is aangevinkt.

voor de rest krijg ik geen venster te zien waar ik wat bij kan aanvinken...
