Resolutie

Hallo

Ik ben vandaag begonnen met Ubuntu op deze computer te installeren, dat is gewoon goed gegaan
Nou wil ik de resolutie aanpassen, omdat dit niet zo'n goed scherm is

Als ik naar: System -> Voorkeuren -> Schermresolutie   ga en ik kies voor '800 x 600' en klik op 'Apply' dan krijg ik zwart beeld en gaat hij weer naar het loginscherm toe en zit ik dus weer op de oude resolutie

Weet iemand hoe dit kan, of ik het kan oplossen?

De zelfde resolutie als die er nu is
Hij geeft aan dat het 1280x1024 is

Fun.... xrandr is vervelend aan het doen voor je.

Stuur de inhoud van het bestand /etc/X11/xorg.conf eens mee

Je ziet in dat bestand vast wel de regels met de lijsten resoluties. Haal alle resoluties uit die regels weg, behalve degene die je wilt houden. Start daarna opnieuw op.

het zal misschien ook wel beter werken met een juiste videodriver (nvidia voor nvidia, fglrx voor ati ...)
