importeren .3ds objecten
The .3ds importer comes with Blender.
You can find it in the File/Import menu.
Or in the Scripts/Import menu.
The format itself has changes over the years,
Simply not all programs will import/export files the same way.
Sometimes the format even bugs out 3dsMax.
ok that said.
when you do import a .3ds model,
then you find it is 'all messed up'
do this to most times fix it:
We will do this in Object Mode,
with no objects selected,
with nothing else in the scene,
or with the messed up object visible in it's own layer.
Press A once or twice to deselect all objects.
Right click one of the parts to select it.
Then use Select>Select All By Type>Mesh
This will select all the mesh you just imported & select it correctly for the next step.
Finally use Object>Snap>Selection ->Cursor.
Fixed in most if not all cases.
