Installing Firestarter on Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon 7.10
« Gepost op: 2007/12/01, 15:20:45 »
Since I installed Firestarter I can't visit certain websites as: www.tvgids.nl, www.routenet.nl, and more.
The problem is:
When ever I want to go to the sites mentioned above. The site won't load or when loaded my webbrowser imediatly shuts down. I then have to start it up again. The system will first ask me if I want to start a new session or recover the last session. The problem will simply  stay regardless of the choices I make in firestarter or the webbrowser or the system. Even when I completely remove Firestarter from my system the problem stays. The only way to use my webbrowser without the remaining problems is to make a new user account/profile on my desktop, to log on to it and surf the internet and to not start up Firestarter in that profile. Can you please help me!!!!!

SYSTEM AND SOFTWARE INFO

- Firestarter version = 1.0.3.
- Using Ubuntu version = 7.10 (gutsy)
- Kernel Linux= 2.6.22-14-386
- GNOME version = 2.20.1
I installed Firestarter from the standaard software offered by Ubuntu
