Desktop "te groot" voor monitor

Dag samen,

Bij het installeren van twee monitors kom ik het volgende probleem tegen; wie weet raad ?

Ik heb net Gutsy AMD64 geinstalleerd. De machine heeft een NVIDIA videokaart; hiervoor de "standaard" driver toegevoegd. De kaart heeft twee uitgangen; aan elk hangt een DELL 1707FP analoog beeldscherm (optimale instelling: 1280x1024 60hz).

Het is heel gemakkelijk om beide beeldschermen aan de praat te krijgen -daarover zijn al veel topics gepost, maar bij 7.10 is het echt een makkie.

Ik kan zien, dat de resolutie "an sich" wel klopt, afschattend aan de lettergrootte en zo.

Maar... de desktop is te groot voor de monitor; ik moet echt scrollen met de muis om de hele desktop in beeld te krijgen (dus naar boven en naar links om "Toepassingen" te kunnen klikken en vervolgens naar rechts scrollen om af te melden e.d.

Ik heb even wat zitten klussen met gksudo nvidia-settings en via Systeem --> Beheer --> Screens and Graphics, maar ik vermoed dat het daar niet zit.

Overigens: als ik overschakel op het gebruik van maar een scherm, dan klopt de grootte van de desktop wel (maar staat mijn tweede scherm op zwart natuurlijk).

Wie weet raad of heeft ergens een link gezien naar de oplossing ?

Het was gemakkelijker dan ik dacht.

Met gksudo nvidia-settings en dan onder X Server Display Configuration; rechts, onder de beide monitors " Configure..." klikken en dan TwinView settings.

Eerst liep dat een beetje mis (ik zag alleen nog het rechter scherm), maar vervolgens met een beetje prutsen is het toch voorelkaar gekomen.

Voor de goede orde: dit is nu mijn xorg.conf (dat helpt wellicht voor de volgende die hiermee aan de slag gaat !!!)
