Gmail in Evolution werkt niet meer

Gebruik al jaren Gmail in Evolution. Na veranderen Gmail wachtwoord kom ik er niet meer in. Haalt geen mail op en verzend niet.
Van alles geprobeerd...16.04 en Evolution 3.18.5.2
Op mijn Android foon gaat het prima...

Krijg nu in rood vak:  Failed to open folder.
The reported error was ¨Could not connect to imap.gmail.com: ¨Connection timed out¨

From your description, I suspect that this might help: try clearing Captcha: visit https://accounts.google.com/DisplayUnlockCaptcha and sign in with the Gmail username and password.  If necessary (it's usually not), enter the letters in the distorted picture then press Continue. This will allow ten minutes for Thunderbird to register as an approved connection.  Note that you must use the credentials for the account you are using in Thunderbird - if the browser is already signed into another account, you must sign out first. Also, you must trigger Thunderbird to make the connections within ten minutes of pressing Continue (press Send/Receive or Sync Accounts or similar).

Ik kon inloggen en kreeg 5000+ oude emails binnen...gelukkig in een aparte inbox zodat ik ze niet stuk voor stuk hoef te wissen.
