Fujitsu siemens lifebook en Realtek ALC262 geluidskaart snd-hda-intel

hallo,

Ik heb een probleem met ubuntu 7.10 en mijn Realtek ALC262 geluids kaart.
Het geluid komt wel uit de koptelefoon uitgang, maar niet uit de laptop speakers.

Ik heb alle oplossingen op het forum al een keer geprobeerd, maar niets hielp tot nog toe  (options snd-hda-intel model=fujitsu in /etc/modprobe/alsa-base gevolgd door een rmmod en een modprobe van snd-hda-intel) en andere oplossingen hielpen ook niet. Ook het zoeken op ububtuforums.org is op niets uitgelopen.

Het viel mij wel op dat het programma alsmixgui alleen maar een wit vlak gaf en alsamix het prima deed.

Ik heb een Fujitsu siemens lifebook E8110 en zie het niet meer zo zitten met deze geluidskaart.

Ik weet dat dit probleem op te lossen is en waarschijnlijk doe ik iets fout, Maar wat ? Het zou kunnen dat ik iets in een verkeerde volgorde doe.

Als iemand meer info wil, kan hij dat krijgen, samen kunnen we er wel uitkomen.

Dubbelklik eens op het luidsprekertje op je paneel, dan open je de instellingen.
Klik nu op Bewerken>Voorkeuren.
Zet daar alle vinkjes eens aan, dan krijg je veel meer instellingen waar je mee kan rommelen.

Je kan bij Bestand>Veranderen van apparaat... ook wisselen tussen de alsa en oss driver.
Kies eens de andere driver en speel daar ook eens met de schuifjes en vinkjes.

Helaas Johan,

Dat heeft ook niet geholpen, gnome alsa mixer geeft ook aan dat alles open staat.
En toch ben ik niet de enige, dat heb ik wel gezien na een tijdje googelen.

Helaas is dit ook niet gelukt,

Kan het ook iets in het bios zijn ?

Op launchpad.net zijn er bugs te vinden van mensen die het geluid ook niet goed werkend krijgen. Ik denk dat er momenteel nog geen werkende oplossing is.

Ik heb ( schaam, schaam ) windows Vista geinstalleerd om er achter te komen of het geen hardware probleem kon zijn.

Onder windows deed de kaart het ook niet. Leek mij derhalve een hardware probleem en heb de de laptop geretourneerd.

Bleek inderdaad een probleem te zijn met de hardware. (DOA)

After my installation of Ubuntu my computer mainly had two problems.

    * The Line in of my Onboard Audio did not work .
    * My TV Tuner Card wouldn’t work.

or those who missed my Motherboard was a Asus M2N MX - SE. This board has Realtek high definition audio onboard. The chipset it uses is a Realtek ALC662. The problem I faced with this is that the Line in didn’t work. Hence I wouldn’t be able to get my TV Tuner to work since it used the Line-in of my onboard audio to get sound.


To get the Audio card fixed here are the steps I followed to get sound to work on my Ubuntu box.

First of all you want to open up your volume control and then go to Edit Preferences and select all tracks to be visible. After you have all the tracks visible make sure that nothing is muted. You can do the same thing by Opening a terminal and entering the command.

Check the channels in there and make sure you do not have anything muted. If you are absolutely sure that the channels are definitely not muted. Then you can proceed to the next step.

Download the latest stable version of alsa-drivers and alsa-lib files from here. Please note that I only downloaded the drivers and the library for ALSA. Download them to a folder in your home folder. Then open your terminal and run the commands
sudo tar xjf alsa-driver*.bz2
sudo tar xjf alsa-lib*.tar.bz2

This should extract the contents of these two files into their respective folders. Now before we go compiling anything you want to first download all the pre-requisite packages to do the same. You can do that by running the following commands.

sudo apt-get install build-essential ncurses-dev gettext
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-`uname -r`
Pay proper atention to the quote at the end. That is you want to make sure that it is ` and not ‘.

Once you get that done its time to go into each of those folders you extracted and then perform the following steps.
cd alsa-driver-1.0.15
./configure --with-cards=all --with-cards-options=all
sudo make
sudo make install

Now change to the directory that you had extracted the ALSA library files to and then run the following pieces of code.

cd ../alsa-lib-1.0.15
sudo ./configure
sudo make
sudo make install

Next you want to open the file
/usr/src/KERNEL_VERSION/Documentation/sound/alsa/ALSA-Configuration.txt

and check what model your audio uses in my case the following options were available

3stack-dig 3-stack (2-channel) with SPDIF
3stack-6ch 3-stack (6-channel)
3stack-6ch-dig 3-stack (6-channel) with SPDIF
6stack-dig 6-stack with SPDIF
lenovo-101e Lenovo laptop
auto auto-config reading BIOS (default)

I used the 6stack-dig option for the model.

sudo gedit /etc/modprobe/alsa-base

and add to the end:

options snd-hda-intel model=6stack-dig
