ik wil aan mijn laptop waar ubuntu op draait een 2de scherm hangen maar ik weet wat ik moet bijvoegen aan mijn xorg config.

het is een tft scherm dat ik er wil aan hangen

fglrx-control installeren indien je een ATI kaart hebt (en je fglrx gebruikt...)

Misschien moet je niets doen ......
Wanneer ik Ubuntu start terwijl de monitor op een andere PC staat, dan wordt in de laagste resolutie opgestart.
MOgelijk, dat wanneer je Ubuntu start met een andere monitor er op, dat gelijk in een aangepaste video mode wordt gestart !

Ik ben hier ook al een tijdje naar opzoek, en heb ook een nvidia, maar krijg het ook helaas niet voor elkaar. Opstarten met de monitor al aan werkt niet.

Het gaat hier om een laptop met een los scherm d'r naast.

Moet misschien gaan met sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg terwijl het andere scherm ook aanstaat? Neem eerst wel een back-up van /etc/X11/xorg.conf!

Ik heb eea geprobeerd met twinview, maar nu krijg ik de volgende melding als de X server probeert op te starten.

API mismatch, de NVIDIA kernel module (1.0.8762) en de X module version 1.0.7174 zijn niet gelijk. (vrij vertaald)

Iemand enig idee hoe ik dit misschien op kan  lossen? Het klinkt simpel met een versie mismatch, maar ik kan het op de een of andere manier niet ergens terug vinden :(

Ok, ik heb na uitschakelen en opstarten toch een dual screen (YES :) waar is m'n foutmelding gebleven?!)

MAAR, nu heb ik nog 1 vraag. Zoals gezegd gaat het hier om een laptop met een grote bak als 2e scherm. Nu is het 'probleem': mijn laptop scherm is 2e scherm geworden, terwijl dat oude scherm het hoofdscherm is geworden :S

Is het mogelijk dit aan te passen?

Nog een laatste update van mijn instellingen via Twinview voor een ieder die misschien tegen hetzelfde aanloopt:

Het probleem met mijn schermen welke 1e en 2e scherm zijn is enigzins opgelost via de tag   Option "TwinViewOrientation" "RightOf" onder Device.
