onthoudt gewijzigde videomode niet

Na het opstarten en inloggen komt de videomode steeds in de 640x480 resolutie.
Deze kan dan gewijzigd worden naar bijv. 1024x768 75Hz. Met welke naam en waar moet deze instelling gesaved worden om hem te onthouden?

als je in de failsafemode zit dan kun je dat niet zo wijzigen, dan valt ie steeds terug. je zou bovenstaande tip kunnen proberen natuurlijk, maar ook even je xorg.conf hier posten.

leoquant: ik zit niet in de failsafemode en xorg.conf heb ik helemaal niet.

Na het wijzigen van de videomode vraagt het menu of ik dit wil saven, maar dan moet ik een bestandsnaam en pad aangeven wat ik beiden niet weet.

je hebt helemaal gelijk, je zit niet in de failsafemode.
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg   in de terminal, alleen de resolutie veranderen. reboot: fingers crossed .daarna naar: Systeem > Voorkeuren > Schermresolutie vastleggen.
