Extended initializer list only availabe with -std=gnu++0x or -std=c++0x

I am currently using gnu 4.4.1 with a fully updated ubuntu system through Update Manager.
I expected to see some supported for the extended C++ language. But the above mentionned warning/error seems to indicate to me that no c++0x library extension is downloaded.

Any idea when we can expect this for Ubuntu ?
Perhaps a gnu update to 4.5 would already helped, but I am not sure about this.

Anybody any suggestions ?

even foute taal gepakt, hè ?  (of het foute forum ?)
In ieder geval zit er wél ondersteuning voor C++ in (door de compiler cpp ).

Verder: wat ben je van plan om te doen ?  Want daar hangt het van af ...
Gnu ist trouwens maar de licentie van de meeste Linux-software, of bedoel je niet de GPL ?
