Trackpoint IBM Laptop

Ik kom steeds verder met Ubuntu, maar wat mij nog wel dwars zit is dat de scroll functie van mijn trackpoint niet werkt van mijn IBM Laptop. De touchpad werkt uitstekend, inclusief de scroll functie ervan.

Weet iemand wat ik hieraan kan doen?

Wat is het preciese merk van je trackpoint?

Als ik bij Device manager kijk staat achter vendor unknown, wat ik wel zie staan bij de trackpoint is TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint. Ik zal straks ff onder windows kijken wat er staat.

Gister helemaal vergeten mijn bevindingen onder windows te posten, windows geeft aan dat het merk gewoon IBM is. Verder zie ik wel Synaptics staan, maar dat is volgens mij voor de touchpad en UltraNav is alleen de software onder windows.

Iemand een idee hoe ik erachter kan komen welk merk ik precies heb?

Kun je /etc/X11/xorg.conf hier posten dan kunnen we kijken wat die instellingen zijn.

Je hebt twee muizen in je laptop de volgende code is van de trackpoint:

EndSectionwanneer je "sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg" in een terminal doet krijg je een scherm met alle instellingen van je computer. Geef op alles ja behalve op wanneer je een muis mag selecteren. Geef dan in PS/2.
Voor de zekerheid, maak ook even een update (dpkg-reconfigure doet dit geloof ik al automatisch maar voor de zekerheid) door het volgende in de terminal in te geven "sudo /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.backup" Dan weet je zeker dat geen van je instellingen verloren zullen gaan.

Ik hoop dat dit wil helpen, laat het even weten.

Ik heb de stappen op twee manieren gevolgd en beide geen succes, er is nog een manier maar ik weet niet of dat de goede is. Ik zal hieronder proberen uit te leggen wat ik gedaan heb.
Ik heb de stappen doorlopen tot aan het kiezen van mouseport, daar koos ik voor "/dev/input/mice". Vervolgens kon ik kiezen voor ImPS/2 & ExplorerPS/2, ik heb  hier in beide gevallen voor ImPS/2 gekozen. Daarna heb ik de ene maal voor het emuleren van een "3 buttons mouse" gekozen en de andere keer heb ik daar 'nee' gekozen.

In beide gevallen is het niet gelukt, ik heb nog niet gekozen voor ExplorerPS/2 omdat ik niet wist of dit de juiste zou zijn. Als dat wel zo is hoor ik het graag
