sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair && sudo apt-get update
then
Code:
sudo apt-get install -y boot-repair && boot-repair
Click on the "Recommended repair" and wait the program to finish
Once completed, reboot your system
The grub menu will appear showing some options. Select the first one reading Windows.
Windows 8 loader will start and most likely here the windows disk check routine will start. If so, once completed, the system will reboot and GRUB menu will appear again.
Select Windows again and check that it will start successfully.
Then restart and select Ubuntu from GRUB menu and check that Ubuntu works too.
