heyy ik heb gister een nieuwe install gedaan voor 7.10 hierbij had ik wel me home laten staan, maja alles verliep goed totdat hij bij de install beveiligings packages moest download(een update denk ik). dus gewoon overgeslagen maar als ik nu in ubuntu ben heb ik geen sources meer, de hele lijst is gecomment. met bij elke line een opmerking

hoe weet ik wanneer een source een goede source die ik mag uit commenten?
het lijkt me omdat de lijst van de cd af komt ik alles mag uit commenten(waar een deb link bijstaat dan) heb ik dit goed?

Haal het teken # en de daaropvolgende spatie, weg bij elke regel die begint met: deb http://

hoe zit het eigenlijk met sources?

ken je makkelijk nieuwe vinden?
Als je een nieuwe heb; hoe weet je of die veilig is?
stel ik ben deze lijst kwijt; zijn er bronnen om een nieuwe te maken?

Ik maak mijn sources.list altijd via http://www.ubuntu-nl.org/source-o-matic/

Ik vink dan alleen opera en beryl niet aan, opera moet je een key voor activeren en aangezien ik geen gebruik maak van de browser van opera heb ik deze uit gelaten en als ik beryl aan laat staan krijg ik een foutmelding als ik probeer te updaten.

Persoonlijk denk ik dat het simpeler had geweest om gewoon te zeggen.
systeem > beheer > software bronnen en daar op het eerste tabblad alles aan te vinken.
onder kde word dit dan k-menu > software toevoegen verwijderen > softwarebronnen.

Ik gebruik ook altijd source-o-matic. Echt handig. Als je geen internet verbinding hebt tijdens de install, of je kabel eruit getrokken, heb je geen sources enabeld. Dus je moet er ff een aanmaken, of de hekjes idd weghalen,

Beste mensen, ik sta op het punt iemand te gaan helpen die niet kan updaten naar 7.10 vanuit 7.04. Er komen meldingen dat er iets mis is met de netwerkverbinding of dat de sources niet gevonden konden worden. Enfin, na het lezen van diverse draadjes kom ik uit bij deze bovenstaande oplossing. Is het voldoende om bovenstaande te veranderen in de sources lijst van degene die vanuit 7.04 naar 7.10 wil opgraden?
Of kun je bovenstaande niet in de sourceslijst van 7.04 zetten omdat  dit comflicten zou geven. Hoe bewaar ik de oude sources list voor de zekerheid in het geval er iets mis zou gaan?

upgraden naar 7.10 kan niet met een succesgarantie gegeven worden.
7.04 moet helemaal geupdated zijn, en dan de upgrademanager in 7.04 gebruiken. fingers crossed.

Hoi LeoQuant, Het probleem bij de computer waar ik gevraagd ben om naar te kijken is het volgende: alle updates zijn binnen gehaald en 7.04 is up to date. Dan wordt er op de knop upgraden gedrukt en daarna volgt de melding dat er geen netwerking verbinding zou zijn (wat er wel is) of dat de sources niet gevonden kunnen worden.

Een ander probleem waar ik daar tegenaan loop is dat de cd speler kaduuk is, dus dat ik eigenlijk wel aangewezen ben op die opdate via de kabel. Ik heb hem bij mezelf ook succesvol uitgevoerd. Zou toch moeten kunnen zou je zeggen.
