beryl ati Radeon mobility x700

ik heb deze howto gevolgd.

toch krijg ik de 3D effecten niet aan de praat

Ik gebruik een X300, geen probleem met http://wiki.beryl-project.org/wiki/Install_Beryl_on_Ubuntu_Feisty_with_AIGLX
Maar X700 is experimenteel...

Ik heb ook een (mobility) X700
Met de fglrx drivers en XGL heb ik het aan de praat gekregen onder Edgy, maar die liep nog wel eens helemaal vast.

Met de open source drivers is het nog niet gelukt, maar daar heb ik ook nog niet al te lang naar gekeken.

Let op: het zijn 3 pagina's.

Kreeg je ergens een foutmelding?
Waar lukte het niet?

Zoals je instellingen nu zijn maak je gebruik van de gesloten ATI driver, en niet van de open source driver zoals vermeld in de handleiding.

Hiermee kan je ook wel beryl draaien, alleen moet dat dan via xgl, en is veel ingewikkelder.

Ik heb ook een ATi mobility x700, en die werkt standaard out-of-the box met Feisty en de open-source ati driver, ook de desktop-effects en Beryl.

de wapperende vensters zijn in orde, en de kubus had ik bij rotatie, maar geen permanente kubus en bij beryl kon ik het ook niet aanpassen.
Ik heb nu ook het probleem dat de randen van mijn vensters weg zijn.
