Beste
Wanneer ik  onder ubuntu opstart, krijg ik op mijn LCD Input not supported ( waarschijnlijk start men op onder een andere resolutie ). Wanneer ubuntu is opgestart, is het probleem opgelost. Hoe kan ik dit vermijden tijdens opstarten ...

Ubuntu laten opstarten in de tekst mode, maar da's ook niet mooi natuurlijk ;)
Openstandaard Evangelist, OpenSource Promotor, OpenData voorstander.
Xubuntu gebruiker en voorstander
Er is ook nog een andere hobby.

Heb je die computer zelf geconfigureerd want ik vermoed dat er iets speciaals in de grub zijn config staat.
Ik vermoed dat er ergens iets in de aard van vga= staat
gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst geef daar de uitkomst eens van

Ik ben het eens met Siegi. Wat je wil toevoegen in je menulijst van grub is de toverspreuk vga=791, daarmee zal het wel goed gaan, verwacht ik.

Toepassingen - Hulpmiddelen - Terminalvenster
sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst

Bij de regel over de op te starten kernel, vga=791 toevoegen. Als volgt (voorbeeldje zonder UUID):
kernel      /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.20-15-generic root=/dev/hda3 ro vga=791 quiet splash

Jammer! Wat voor scherm heb je eigenlijk?

Uitleg: zoek 's in de wiki of zo, enfin, zoek maar eens...

vga optie geeft aan op welke beeldschermresolutie het opstartscherm moet staan.
Probeer eens dit: vervang vga=791 eens door vga=normal
De regel wordt dus:
kernel        /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.20-15-generic root=UUID=fd1ed01d-aeca-4096-9c9e-a19abf34894b ro vga=normal quiet splash

Opslaan, sluiten, herstarten.
