Ik probeer een dual boot systeem op te zetten van WinXP/Xubuntu op een Abit BX133 moederbord met 655kB mem en 2 HDD's
- HDD1 is 200 GB en bevat een partitie met WinXP (NTFS), een DATA-partitie (voor beide OS-en; NTFS) een ext3 partition voor Xubuntu en een SWAP-partition in deze volgorde.
- HDD2 is 20 GB en wordt gebruikt voor het opslaan van images van beide OS-en en als backup van de belangrijkste documenten.
Lang verhaal kort: Ik heb eerst XP geïnstalleerd, toen Xubuntu, kon geen enkel OS booten, opnieuw XP geïnstalleerd (om de vrede thuis te handhaven moest dat blijven functioneren) en heb toen geprobeerd door in de LiveCD te booten Grub opnieuw te installeren.
Zo zien mijn harde schijven er uit ("sudo fdisk -l"):

Na het opnieuw booten vanaf de harde schijf, wordt op een gegeven moment "Loading Grub Stage1.5" getoond, waarna het systeem opnieuw boot, in een eindeloze vicieze cirkel.
Ik kon met de Super Grub CD de Windows-boot herstellen. Vraag is alleen hoe ik dit systeem dual-boot kan maken. Hulp wordt zeer gewaardeerd. Dank voor het lezen!
