Beste allemaal,

Ik heb reeds ubuntu geinstalleerd op een Compaq NX9010 laptop. Toen ik deze opstarte merkte ik tot mijn verbazing dat het hele scherm bibberde.

Ik heb toen met VNC een aantal instellingen getracht aan te passen maar dit mocht niet baten. De drivers van de video kaart zijn goed ingesteld alleen ubuntu kan mijn monitor niet goed instellen.

Als ik de VESA driver instel dan doet het scherm het prima. Dit is alleen niet wat ik wil

Wat mij opviel was dat bij de VESA driver de refresh rate op 61Hz stond en met de ATI drivers deze op 60Hz stond en niet meer aan te passen was.

Ik ben de wanhoop nabij en hoop dat ik hier iemand kan vinden die mij kan helpen met dit probleem

Op mijn server (laptop) had ik en soortgelijk probleem, de kleuren diepte op 16 bits zetten was de oplossing.
Mischien bij jou ook ?

Ik heb deze inmiddels allemaal aangepast naar 16 maar het heeft niet mogen baten.
Heeft iemand nog een ander idee?

Ik heb dat bibberen trouwens ook gezien in de Fnac, waar een reeks Ubuntucomputers stond. Slechte reclame als je het mij vraagt.

Heb je al geprobeerd de fglrx driver te gebruiken in plaats van de ati.
