Hallo.

Ik heb Virtualbox geinstalleerd, maar krijg de volgende melding als ik XP in virualbox probeer op te starten zodat ik deze kan installeren;

The VirtualBox kernel driver is not accessible to the current user. Make sure that the user has write permissions for /dev/vboxdrv by adding them to the vboxusers groups. You will need to logout for the change to take effect..
VBox status code: -1909 (VERR_VM_DRIVER_NOT_ACCESSIBLE).

Interface:
IConsole {1dea5c4b-0753-4193-b909-22330f64ec45}

Succes!!

Bedankt voor de snelle reacties!
Ik ben erg echter nog niet uit...
Ik heb in de kernel sudo adduser mijnnaam vboxuser ingegeven, maar krijg vanuit de kernel de volgende melding;
The group `vboxuser' does not exist.

Ik heb virualbox weer geinstalleerd middels add/remove apps, maar krijg nu een andere fout melding;

Could not load the settings file '/home/b/.VirtualBox/VirtualBox.xml' (VERR_OPEN_FAILED).
FATAL ERROR: Attribute 'LogHistoryCount' is not declared for element 'SystemProperties'
Location: '/home/b/.VirtualBox/VirtualBox.xml', line 25, column 159.

Virualbox geeft ook nog steeds dezelfde foutmelding;

Could not load the settings file '/home/b/.VirtualBox/VirtualBox.xml' (VERR_OPEN_FAILED).
FATAL ERROR: Attribute 'LogHistoryCount' is not declared for element 'SystemProperties'

Dit is de foutmelding die ik krijg als ik Virtualbox probeer op te starten;

Ik heb daarna vanuit de kernel  '/etc/init.d/vboxdrv start' als root uitgevoerd, waarop ik de volgende melding kreeg;

/etc/init.d/vboxdrv start

The VirtualBox kernel driver is not accessible to the current user.

Even iets anders.

sudo adduser vboxusers
adduser: De gebruiker bestaat niet.

en uiteraard als gevolg ook:
sudo gpasswd -a vboxusers
gpasswd: onbekende gebruiker:

Waarom pakt ie dit niet?

Alvast bedankt voor de hulp!
Hendrik

Ik heb Ubuntu even opnieuw geinstalleerd.
Ik heb krijg na het opstarten van Virtualbox nu deze foutmelding;

VirtualBox kernel driver not installed. The vboxdrv kernel module was either not loaded or /dev/vboxdrv was not created for some reason. Please install the virtualbox-ose-modules package for your kernel and execute '/etc/init.d/vboxdrv start' as root.
VBox status code: -1908 (VERR_VM_DRIVER_NOT_INSTALLED).

Result Code:
0x80004005
Component:
Console
Interface:
IConsole {1dea5c4b-0753-4193-b909-22330f64ec45}

Wat doe ik fout???

MrNewbie

Groet,
Hendrik
