Troubleshooting
Currently the ivtv-firmware packages are not being installed by default along with the other ivtv packages, which means that the card is not initialized properly. The fix is simple: Alt-Ctrl-2 into a session and issue the following commands:
apt-get install ivtv-firmware
rmmod ivtv
modprobe ivtv
mogelijke oplossing:
Hopefully it is the same as my Deluxe version if so modprobe -r bttv and modprobe -r tuner to remove any modules that may have been loaded then modprobe bttv card=34 tuner=2 to load with the correct tuner it always defaults to PAL instead of NTSC for the tuner. Try tvtime again and see if it works if so then put a line like this in your /etc/modules.conf.
options bttv card=34 tuner=2

Another thing to try is install the xawtv package then as root use scantv to scan for your channels and see what it finds if you hear sound as it goes by the channels then you know the card is tuning properly. Some more details on how the card is connected would be nice as well.
