Alle Wine Windows geven een zwart scherm

Zowel 0.9.46 als 0.9.47 geven een zwart scherm zoals het Wine Configuratiescherm. Hoe kan ik dit oplossen?

Heb je toevallig compiz draaien?  Want zou een black window bug van nvidia kunnen zijn.

Ik had het wel geinstallerd, want het stond nog niet op Kubuntu Gutsy.

Het was blijkbaar een probleem met nvidia-glx, of Compiz. Draaien de games nog wel fatsoenlijk zonder die nvidia-glx driver?

nvidia-glx is de restricted driver voor je nvidia kaartje. (nvidia eigen driver) Deze heb je idd nodig voor games.
Met open source driver heb je geen ondersteuning voor 3d.
compiz kan je best wel afzetten.  Dit is alleen nuttig om grafische effectjes te krijgen op je desktop.

Ik weet niet of het Compiz of nvidia-glx was, maar ik ga de nvidia-glx-new maar eens proberen.

Edit: Zodra ik een restricted driver installeer krijg ik weer die zwarte windows.

Mijn grafische kaart is een Geforce 7600GT.

Okay, na een X restart werken de drivers wel, maar nog niet helemaal want blijkbaar is GLX niet geladen in de xorg.conf maar hij staat er toch echt wel.

Ik had hier ook last van, maar CTRL + ALT + BACKSPACE bracht het licht in mijn Linux.

Gebruik gewoon eens systeem > beheer > screen and graphics. En kies bij grafische kaart nvidia inplaats van nv.
