In mijn nieuwe Sony Vaio klaptop zit een handige kaartlezer ingebouwd (voor SD-kaartjes). Alleen: Ubuntu herkent hem niet. Het is een ding van Texas Instruments, zegt Windows, die hem wel herkent. Veel meer wil W. er overigens niet over kwijt; ik kan niks vinden over de chipset.

Hoe kom ik er achter welke chipset het is, zodat ik gericht kan gaan zoeken op oplossingen? Is daar een bepaald terminalcommando voor? Zowel Linuxcommando's als W.-commando's zijn welkom!

Onlangs was mijn zwager hier, met een losse (USB) kaart lezer.
Bij het inpluggen werd deze niet aangegeven, maar inpluggen terwijl er een geheugen kaart inzat gaf de oplossing !
Misschien moet je de PC een keer opstarten met een kaartje in de lezer ?

Lijkt er toch op dat de kaart gedetecteerd wordt... Kan je de SD kaart niet mounten ofzo?

Als het niet automatisch aangekoppeld wordt:
sudo mount /dev/mmcblk0p1 /media/sd

Zie je trouwens niet meer bij dmesg over die kaart?

profoX, bedankt voor het meedenken! Helaas...... ik heb eerst de map sd aangemaakt in /media. Daarna jouw commando uitgevoerd in de terminal. Ik kreeg deze reactie:

Ik heb in mijn eerdere bijdrage de volledige uitdraai gepost van dmesg. De allerlaatste regel daarvan heeft het over het sd-kaartje in de kaartlezer:

Hier is de ingebouwde kaartlezer /dev/sda1 en mount deze op /media/KODAK als ik er een kaartje insteek.

mount -l geeft:

/dev/sda1 on /media/KODAK type vfat (rw,nosuid,nodev,quiet,shortname=mixed,uid=1000,gid=1000,umask=077,iocharset=utf8) [KODAK]


Probeer eens mount -a als je er een kaart ingedaan hebt.
Vervolgens mount -l en post dat eens.

Het lijkt erop, alsof Ubuntu alleen mijn "verdwenen partitie" signaleert. Die ziet Ubuntu niet meer, sinds ik er DSL op heb geïnstalleerd. Waarom eigenlijk? Dapper ziet hem ook niet meer, en die werkt niet met UUID's.

Enfin, het SD-kaartje is al helemaal nergens te bekennen. Overigens: mijn harde schijf heet sda, omdat het een SATA schijf is.

Vervolgens mount -l:

Een tijdje terug heb ik het zelfde probleem gehad op een acer aspire 5600. Uiteindelijk ben ik eruit gekomen met deze how to. Misschien iets dat je kunt proberen?
