Heb de zaak weer aan de praat gekregen via de Provider for Google Calendar add-on in Thunderbird. Zie hieronder voor de te nemen stappen :
1) Install add-on Provider for Google Calendar and restart Thunderbird when prompted. This will add an additional "calendar type" called Google Calendar in the New Calendar Wizard of TB.
2) Login to Google Calendar > choose "calendar settings" > tab Calendars > click under "calendar" the appropriate calendar (with your name perhaps) > see option "Calendar Address" and click the ICAL button > a window pops up with calendar address; should resemble the following:
https://www.google.com/calendar/ical/randomalphanumericcharacterstring%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics > right click and copy.
3) Back in Thunderbird, from Calendar tab, choose File>New>Calendar to start the Calendar wizard. The Calendar wizard offers choice of On My Computer or On the Network > choose On the Network and click Next button > choose Google Calendar > in "Location" bar, right click and paste the previously copied ICAL address from Google Calendar > click Next button > a Google Calendar Login credential window pops up; enter your Google username and password associated with your Google account. Click "use password manager to remember" if you don't want to be prompted everytime you open TB. In Create New Calendar window, give your new calendar a name, choose a color, and hit Next button.
