Ik heb pas ubuntu 7.10 op mijn computer geïnstalleerd. Via mijn draadloze kaart krijg ik geen verbinding met internet. De kaart wordt wel herkend door ubuntu (een ledje gaat branden) en volgens mij werkt ze ook want af en toe brand er een groen ledje.  
deze kaart heeft een texas instruments based chip. The acx111 driver hiervoor is standaard in ubuntu en zou out of the box moeten werken, helaas.

Als eerste: welkom :)

Zo te zien ziet Ubuntu een aantal draadloze netwerken.
Dat is goed nieuws, want dan werkt je kaartje in ieder geval wel :)

Wat gebeurt er precies als je via de network manager verbinding wil maken?

De network manager geeft een lijst waar mijn accespoint in staat. Poging om verbinding te maken mislukt. Ubuntu gaat automatisch over naar wired connection. De wireless kaart blijft ondertussen actief, het zend/ontvang-ledje knippert constant.
