Ubuntu herkent harde schijf niet.

Hallo iedereen.

Ik heb een nieuwe pc gekocht en wil er nu ubuntu op instaleren, maar helaas herkent hij de harde schijf niet :o

Als ik opstart van de live cd lijkt alles te lukken totdat ik het systeem wil instaleren.
De partitioner geeft me dan alleen de manual optie en er staat geen enkel partitie of schijf bekend.
Als ik bij gparted kijk dan zie ik alleen de boodschap no devices detected.

Ik heb al eerder ubuntu op pc's geinstaleerd en tot nu toe nog nooit (zo een groot) probleem tegengekomen.

Ik heb al geprobeerd met zowel de 32-bit als de 64-bit versie van ubuntu en beide hebben het zelfde probleem.

Verder heb ik ook al geprobeerd met volgende boot parameters te booten: irqpoll pci = noapci, noapic, nolapic en acpi=off.

Iemand die mij kan helpen?

Hey,

bedankt voor het antwoord pjotr123.

Helaas denk ik niet dat dat het probleem was.
Ik heb de pc opengevezen en alles lijkt mij normaal.

Harde schijf en dvd drives zitten op verschillende kanalen. en de twee dvd stations zit er 1 op master en 1 op slave.

De harde schijf is wel serial ata en hangt dus alleen aan de SATA1 poort.

Ik heb daar wel precies geen jumper aan gezien zou dat het prob kunnen zijn?

of zou het eerder iets zijn met de drivers voor de sata?  (windows vista werkt wel)

Sugesties iemand?

help is appreciated, want ik zou niet graag opgezadeld zitten met vista voor de rest van de levensloop van deze pc.

Een SATA schrijf gebruikt dacht ik sda i.p.v. hda.
Zo heb ik een tijdje geleden mijn Compaq Armada E500 image op een Toshiba Satellite gezet, en de hda in /etc/fstab omgezet in sda, een herstart gemaakt met de alternate CD en een gebroken installatie gebruikt, en de schijven als sda gemarkeerd. Daar bij de GRUB een nieuwe GRUB aan laten maken en het werkte ineens.
Laptop, HP 550, Dual Core 1 GB RAM/2 Ghz:: Debian 5.0 Testing (Squeeze)  (lite-blokkendoos editie) Fluxbox / IceWM / XFCE4 / Openbox / LXDE.

Bedankt woteb,

Dat zou idd kunnen, maar dan zou ik die hard disk (of een of andere device) toch moeten kunnen zien als ik tussen de devices kijk (bij computer). ik zie de verschillend dvd stations, en dan de 3 devices die zo flash kaartjes  lezen, en dan het filesystem van de live-cd.


nog bijkomende info als ik fdisk -l doe dan krijg ik niets terug.

Dan nog een vraagje, dit is hier precies het registreren van de flash kaartjes lezer, maar is het normaal dat al die I/O errors er bij staan. Komt dat om dat er geen media instaat en is dat de standaard manier?

Zou iemand die ook een sata hard disk heeft waarop linux wel werkt eens zijn dmesg hier kunnen posten zodat ik zou kunnen vergelijken?

Ik heb iets nieuws ontdekt.

Als ik mijn sata controler op RAID mode zet dan herkent linux mijn harde schijf wel.

Maar als ik dan probeer op te starten op de windows partitie dan crasht heel het spel. en bij het booten zegt de bios dat er geen raid aanwezig is.

Als ik de sata controler terug op IDE zet dan werkt de windows partitie wel terug.

Mijn vraag is dus: stel nu ik instaleer linux, zou grub dan werken?

Wat denken jullie hiervan?

Ik heb zelf ook problemen met mijn ST3320820AS ATA schijf, maar zo te zien hebben jullie ook nog geen goede oplossing gevonden

Het werkt zoals ik hierboven heb beschreven.

Het enige lastige is dat als ik wil veranderen van os dat ik in de bios de sata controler van mode moet veranderen.

maar voor de rest geen problemen.

ik heb ergens nog gelezen dat je een driver kon instaleren zodat windows ook overweg kon met de andere modes, maar is me helaas niet gelukt.

hoopt dat het helpt

 Ik zie Ubuntu in het rijtje staan, mss daar eens rond gaan neuzen. Soms doet een bios-update wonderen...... ;)
 Waarschijnlijk is ook een en ander te vinden op audio drivers gebied.

Is het jullie ooit gelukt om je pc "normaal" op te starten? bv. na BIOS update?
