Oei dat is jammer dat een nieuwe installatie het euvel niet heeft opgelost.
nVidia heeft er wel een potje van gemaakt. Hopelijk komt er snel een update zodat alles weer naar behoren werkt.

Een 2 de installatie Mate probleemloos achter de rug.
En zoals steeds is het wat zoeken om netwerkschijven (NAS) te verbinden.
En daar komt Samba bij, die nog steeds z'n nukken kent ... maar 't is gelukt 

En dan een map delen :
system-config-samba bestaat niet meer ...
caja-share geeft een fout

Ik zal in m'n andere laptop moeten kijken hoe daar /etc/samba/smb.config ingesteld is, pfff

Die optie staat hier standaard NIET aangevinkt.
Libre Office 24.2.3.2 in Ubuntu 24.04

wat ook het overwegen waard is om de "moeder" van alle (Unix/Linux)backupprogramma's
te gebruiken en wel "dump"  en "restore".
Ik gebruik dat al sinds 1982 onder Unix/Linux zowel beroepsmatig als thuis.
Je kan er zowel totale backups als incrementele backups mee maken. Het werkt
wel alleen met Unix/Linux-filesystemen (oa ext2/3/4)

Ik heb een abonnement op een online backup provider  voor backup van mijn documenten en foto's.
Die kostte een paar jaar geleden €75 per jaar.
Ondertussen is de prijs naar  €119 per jaar verhoogd.

Voor dat geld kan je aardig wat hardeschijven / een NAS kopen. Dan weet je ook zeker dat er niet iets verdwijnt

Heel vaak verdwijnt een deel van mijn werkscherm achter de linker verticale icon balk.
Helemaal bovenaan in  het scherm twee keer dubbelklik, daarna is alles weer ok voor even.
Hoe kan ik dit herstellen svp? Bij voorbaat dank.
