Op mijn hoofd-PC mag 1010 blijven!
Maar niet op mijn HP-mini. Loop nu tegen een paar vervelende bugs aan.. Op de een of andere manier wil de wifi-driver niet starten (soms wel), heeft wellicht te maken met de melding: intel-hda spurious response. Dan maar terug naar 10.04, maar gaat iets lastiger dan verwacht: zowel de USB-startup-creator als syslinux hebben fouten.
Voor een 1010-usb heb ik dit moeten doen:
1. Using the USB Startup Disk Creator, make a bootable USB disk with the latest Ubuntu 10.10 .ISO.
2. Once the process is complete, browse to the root directory of the USB disk, click on the /syslinux folder, and open the file entitled syslinux.cfg.
3. Using a text/code editor, find the line: ui gfxboot bootlogo
4. Change it to: gfxboot bootlogo
5. Save the file and reboot to test — it should work now.
en voor een 10.04-usb (wil niet booten, indien gemaakt met 1010): tijdens boot 'help' intypen. Er verschijnt een keuzemenu. Daarna gaat het booten wel.
