Software centrum verdwenen na upgrade Ubuntu 10.10 naar 11.04

Na de upgrade van Ubuntu 10.10 naar 11.04 ben ik mijn software centrum kwijt. Het staat niet in de launcher. Ook wanneer ik in de klassieke Gnome werk, vind ik op de standaardplek geen software centrum meer.

Weet iemand hier raad mee?

De volgende pakketten hebben niet-voldane vereisten:

                   Vereisten: ubuntu-sso-client (>= 0.99.6) maar het zal niet geïnstalleerd worden

De pakketten python-webkit en ubuntu-sso-client moeten geïsntalleerd zijn/worden. Python-webkit zit hier in 10.04 maar ubuntu-sso-client niet. Dus blijkbaar hangt de nieuwe versie van het SoftwareCenter af van dit pakket.

Je kan het eventueel zelf downloaden en installeren via deze link:

Klik onderaan in het kadertje op: all
Dan zie je een lijst met mirrors. Kies daar een uit en klik erop.
Kies voor:installeren met Gdebi pakketinstallatie.


Vreemd dat het er niet inzit maar dat komt misschien door de upgrade.

Als er een hekje voor staat, zijn ze uitgeschakeld dus dat maakt niets uit.

Het is altijd verstandig, zoals je vorige keren gedaan had, de foutmeldingen te posten.

Wat ik zelf in zo een situatie nog zou durven doen, los van een verse herinstallatie, is alle verdachte repo's uitschakelen, en dan inloggen met een root recovery prompt, en het systeem voor een deel slopen met enkele "apt-get purge" commando's. Met een eenvoudige "apt-get install ubuntu-desktop" wordt dan het standaard systeem terug geïnstalleerd. Je eigen configuratie en documenten blijven hierbij bestaan.

Door zo het systeem voor een deel af te breken, hoop je niet compatibele pakketten mee te verwijderen. Met "apt-get install ubuntu-desktop" wordt de blokkendoos dan weer opgebouwd, maar ditmaal (hopelijk) met de correcte blokken.

Anders: herinstalleren. Drie kwartier werk.

Nou daar zit het niet.
Misschien moet je gewoon een paar dagen wachten tot er een nieuwe update komt...
Of heeft iemand méér ideeën ?  Mijn trukkendoos is leeg.

Ik ben vrij onbekend met Ubuntu (een leek) maar ondervind sinds de laatste update ook problemen met het software center. Zodra ik kies voor 'software verkrijgen' begint er een scherm te loaden, maar deze blijft dat doen. Kan iemand mij, in Jip-en-Janneketaal' uitleggen wat ik hier moet doen. Alvast dank!
