Voordien eerst de /boot/grub/menu.lst backuppen !! (gewoon naar je thuismap kopiëren is voldoende)
Dan Suse installeren.
Daarna dit hoofdstok met
gedit (of welke editor je in Suse hebt, ik weet het niet)
vanuit jouw Suse- /boot/grub/menu.lst halen.
(kopiëren dus, dit zijn de twee blokken voor normale en veilige start van Suse !):

Derde en laatste stap: hernoem het bestand /boot/grub/menu.lst naar /boot/grub/menu.lst.suse (of zo)
en zet de (
gepatchte) oude versie van menu.lst vanuit jouw thuismap terug naar /boot/grub/
Herbooten en je bent klaar.
