Ik wil graag een hogere resolutie draaien in virtualbox.
Dit vond ik in de FAQ:
* "How come it doesn't detect my nVidia/ATI/whatever graphics card?"
Because the guest sees a virtual graphics card, not the host graphics card. The virtual graphics card provides the necessary VESA and VGA features to make the guest operative systems work OK. Additional features, like higher resolutions, is provided by the graphics driver included with the guest additions. More details on how to install guest additions and features of the virtual graphics card can be found in the manual.
en in de manual:
3 Starting out with VirtualBox
Video memory size Size of the memory provided by the virtual graphics card avail-
able to the guest, in MB. As with the main memory, the specified amount will be
allocated from the host’s resident memory. Based on the amount of video mem-
ory, higher resolutions and color depths may be available, but for most setups,
the default video memory size of 8MB should be sufficient.
Ik begrijp alleen niet hoe het video geheugen op te krikken, of lees ik ergens overheen?
Met vriendelijke groet,
Gijs
