Hallo Forum,

Ik heb nu een desktop met "DQ35MP" van Intel.

Maar ik kan niet via Cd-rom of USB het Linux installeren.

Wie heeft een goede tip?

Kun je de startup opties niet vinden ? blijft ie hangen in het bootmenu ? start wel maar geeft geen video ?

Plop op diskette (of cdrom) zetten en vervolgens opstarten via deze gegevensdrager.

Informatie is zeer summier. Dit bord zou dateren van 2007, dus lijkt het mij onwaarschijnlijk dat ie niet van USB kan booten, en zeker is dat een Cd-rom boot mogelijk is.

Waarom ik de info dan per mail krijg

Hallo Ed,

Als ik dat via het info van Intel de pc opstart in "configuration" dan zie ik wel het startblad van "Bios".
Maar dit is "bevroren" ik kan niet met "tab" naar de volgende blad en "F10" om het afsluiten gaat ook niet.
Het keyboard reageert ook niet en de muiswijzer zie ik ook niet.

Als ik daarna de "pins" verbinden als "normaal" dan zie ik wel wat maar "F2" reageert niet. Ik zie alleen rechtsonder een "EB" en dan staat de pc vast.

Probeer eens de muis er uit te laten en probeer evt. het of een ander keyboard op een andere USB poort.
mogelijk voorkom je hiermee het BIOS vastlopen.
Echter heb je ook nog de mogelijkheid met F10 het boot item te kiezen, opstarten met de CD, DVD of USB reeds ingestoken en op F10 drukken.

Introduction
The board uses an Intel BIOS that is stored in the Serial Peripheral Interface Flash Memory (SPI Flash) and can be updated using a disk-based program.
The SPI Flash contains the BIOS Setup program, POST, the PCI auto-configuration utility, LAN EEPROM information, and Plug and Play support.
The BIOS displays a message during POST identifying the type of BIOS and a revision code.
The initial production BIOSs are identified as JOQ3510J.86A.
When the BIOS Setup configuration jumper is set to configure mode and the computer is powered-up, the BIOS compares the CPU version and the microcode version in the BIOS and reports if the two match.
The BIOS Setup program can be used to view and change the BIOS settings for the computer.
The BIOS Setup program is accessed by pressing the <F2> key after the Power-On Self-Test (POST) memory test begins and before the operating system boot begins.
