hoi
ik zit met een mini-probleem ivm mijn draadloos internet.
Ik werk met een access point van Dlink, en een USB stick van Dlink op mijn pc aangesloten.
Dit werkt normaal goed, maar soms (na een goed uur ofzo) valt mijn stick van mijn Dlink uit. (geen lichtjes meer die branden).
Ik moet dan opnieuw mijn pc gaan heropstarten, en we zijn dan weer vertrokken...

Kennen jullie soms een oplossing/alternatieven om dit probleem op te lossen ???

Lijkt me meer een hardewaar-probleem.... beschadigde / rotte USB staaf?

Kan ook een probleem zijn met de driver.  Werkte hij out of the box of heb je ndiswrapper ofzoiets gebruikt.

Ik heb met die stick zekers meer dan een jaar probleemloos gewerkt op windows (wat nog steeds het geval is), maar onder linux valt het lampje "link" (en dus internet), meer dan regelmatig uit, waardoor ik dan heel den boel moet heropstarten, om dan terug op internet te kunnen (wat natuurlijk uiterst vervelend is ...).

Aan mijn hardware kan het dus volgens mij moeilijk liggen ( aan wat anders weet ik niet...
Mijn wepkey is wel hex ingesteld,- niet met ascii... Ik weet niet of dit een evt verschil kan uitmaken ...)

Ndiswapper gebruik ik niet . Gewoon via systeem mijn boeltje ingevuld ...

Driverprobleem, denk ik; ik ben het eens met Siegi.

Op 18 oktober komt Ubuntu 7.10 uit, met splinternieuwe drivers in een splinternieuwe Linuxkernel. Mogelijk ben je dan van dat probleem af.

Ik heb hetzelfde nu in Gutsy. Heeft iemand een oplossing? Het gebeurt op de één of andere manier vaak bij het omzetten van (zelfgekochte) cd's in Mp3.

Wat geeft lspci ?

Er zijn meerdere met dit probleem, telkens met deze kaart:  Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN Network Connection.

Als het om een usb stick gaat moet je lsusb intikken in plaats van lspci.
Kan je ook eens dmesg intikken en in de laatste regels kijken of daar foutmeldingen staan?

Ik zit ook met het probleem van onregelmatig uitvallen van de draadloze verbinding.
Het is een Belkin router en HP pavilion pc met ingebouwde usb wireless adaptor.
Met windows Vista is er geen enkel probleem.
Ik denk dat de driver ndiwrapper is die gebruikt wordt.
Ik kijk ook uit naar een mogelijke oplossing.

Als ik mij niet vergis staat hier toch een D-link DWL-G122 b1 en dat is mijn usb-netwerk-ontvanger en dat is toch geen realtek? Gebruik ik de verkeerde driver of is de realtek de usb poort?

Trouwens nadat de d-link uitvalt werkt afsluiten ook niet meer. Er staat dan iets van failed en vervolgens hangt ie...

Na het doornemen van de link die je me aangaf en het toepassen is mijn probleem opgelost en valt de draadloze verbinding niet meer uit.
