Ulimit verhogen Ubuntu server 12.04

Ik heb Copy(.com) op mijn server staan om als backup te laten draaien voor verschillende bestanden, maar nu geeft het systeem aan dat de ulimit verhoogt moet worden anders draait het programma niet.

Nu is de uitkomst van ulimit -u 32135 en van ulimit -s 8192 en deze wil ik verhogen, maar ik krijg nergens gevonden hoe ik dat het beste moet aanpakken.

Kan iemand mij helpen?

Create file /etc/sysctl.d/60-copy.conf

Open that file and write:

Code: [Selecteer]

fs.inotify.max_user_watches = 20000
fs.file-max = 800000

Go to the terminal and apply those settings by typing:

Code: [Selecteer]

sudo sysctl -p /etc/sysctl.d/60-copy.conf
Launch the Copy app again and it should work.

Is het dan misschien beter om het programma opnieuw te installeren?

oei, dan vraag je me te veel. Ik ken het programma niet ik wil niet jouw backups vernaggelen.

En van ulimut weet ik ook te weinig (ik leer nog het meest van dit forum)
